The Marine Research Center (CIM) open days will start this year with a scientific fair hold on the commercial center of A Laxe. Experiments, games, crafts, drawings and challenges were designed to get closer marine science to society.
The main goal of the CIM open days are, in one hand, to raise awareness of marine science and the work of the CIM’s research staff and, on the other, to generate scientific vocations in the children. More than eight stands will present the different lines of work related to biodiversity, climate change, fishing, palaeontology and genetics.
Our contribution to the fair will consist on a card game about the age of living species on Earth (oriented for a adult public) and a game for painting fossils (oriented for children).
