Mapas Lab team participated in the Open Day of the Marine Research Center of the University of Vigo, celebrated on 17th and 18th of November. A program of activities for all audiences was designed with the aim of sharing the process of generating knowledge in research with society, as well as to generate scientific vocations in the children.
In total, 600 people participated in the open days, with 400 attending the fair held at the A Laxe Shopping Center, where Mapas Lab participated. Children and adults showed lot of curiosity to our workshops, where we explained in an easy and fancy way how fossils are created and how old are some extinct and actual marine organisms.
The actions were co-financed by the Xunta de Galicia and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
